My work looks into the minute.
I paint by glazing on raw enamel, with the tip of the brush. It is a rare and exacting technique: you work on the enamel before firing, and every touch stays.
I was born in Guardiagrele, in Abruzzo, in 1967, and I grew up in the studio of my father Antonio Vincenzo Iannucci (Ortona 1939–2012), a painter of sacred cycles in the churches of Abruzzo. I worked alongside him until I was twenty-three, then took my own path in ceramics, training under Maestro Luigi Bozzelli (Rapino 1922–2010), who opened this demanding art to me.
Today I work in my studio in Montegranaro, in the Marche, between commissioned pieces, civic plates for towns, and exhibitions.

A plate for your town
I offer town councils a maiolica work dedicated to the identity and heritage of their territory. Each plate comes with a written account of what it depicts: the art becomes an emblem of cultural value for the community.
The travelling exhibition has already reached the Mole Vanvitelliana, Spazio Presente and the Castello Svevo, in Ancona.

The scrollwork running around the rim is painted freehand, with no transfers and no stencils. The stroke changes weight where the brush runs dry, and that change is the signature.
